Fraud Alert

We prioritize the security and integrity of our community and partners. It is a common reality that private foundations and charitable organizations are frequently used as a cover for fraudulent activities and sophisticated scams.

These fraudulent communications claim to be associated with foundations and often circulate via email, social media, postal mail, and telephone. They may use official logos, names of leadership, and public information taken directly from websites to appear legitimate.

How to Verify Communications

If you ever doubt the authenticity of a communication claiming to be from the Santoro Family Foundation, please contact us directly at security@santorofamilyfoundation.org. This allows us to monitor potential threats and take necessary action. Please note that while we monitor all reports, we may not be able to respond to every individual inquiry.

Common Scams

To protect yourself from potential fraud and scams, please be advised that the Santoro Family Foundation does not:

  • Request fees or "processing payments" in order to award a scholarship or grant.

  • Host internet lotteries or offer cash prizes of any kind via social media or email.

  • Request registration fees for conferences, summits, or webinars.

  • Ask for sensitive private information such as bank account details, Social Security numbers, or passwords via email or text. All applications are posted on our website.

  • Offer memberships or request recurring membership fees.

  • Solicit donations from others at any time.

  • Offer investment opportunities or offer returns on personal capital.

Our official scholarship and grant-making processes are conducted through secure, verified channels. We encourage all students and partners to remain vigilant and verify the source of any unsolicited financial offers.
